Over the past two months, Breaking the World has picked up some phenomenal reviews and more than a few cool pictures. Many thanks to the reviewers, book groups, and fans that went out of their way to tag me in their Twitter and Instagram feeds. I’ve loved reading your reviews and seeing the book in the wild!

Check out a few “glamour shots” of Breaking the World. And if you haven’t already, think about picking up the book, now available everywhere from

NOBODY JOIN A CULT!! Okay? Seriously. I don’t think I could handle it if someone I knew in real life was a Sister Wife or started wearing Dahmer glasses and claimed to be the Messiah. 🤓 I just finished this book, Breaking the World by Jerry Gordon. It’s a historical fiction telling of the Branch Davidian cult led by David Koresh in Waco, Texas. But it’s also apocalyptic horror! How do these two genres come together—historical fiction mashed with apocalyptic horror?? You’ll have to read my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review to find out!! The link is in my profile. In short, I’m so glad the #nightworms were given the opportunity to read this book. Thank you @apexbookcompany 😈🖤 #breakingtheworld #davidkoresh #wacotexas #apocolypse #apocolyptichorror #historicalfiction #cultbook #cultlife #motherhorror #sadiereviews

This weekend was so restful! I found a few hours to finish the Hunger by Alma Katsu and write the review which you can read by clicking the Goodreads link in my bio ☝🏼it’s spoiler free so if you have plans to read it (you should) my reviews only reveal my thoughts not the plots. (I made that rhyme up myself) 🎶 Some of my fellow #nightworms have their reviews up too: @bookishmommy @book.happy and @gowsy33 Fans of historical fiction with a horror twist definitely need this one in their collection. I have the Terror by Dan Simmons and Breaking the World by Jerry Gordon coming up in this genre. Do you like historical fiction?? I know there’s lots of history buffs out there! Don’t Monday too hard! #thehunger #almakatsu #bookcovers #historicalfiction #thedonnerparty #theterror #dansimmons @almakatsu #sadiereviews

Today is the 25th anniversary of the siege in Waco, Texas on the Branch Davidian compound. I was a Junior in High School and my US history teacher brought a TV in the classroom so we could watch coverage of the raid that resulted in a shootout. 76 people lost their lives that day, including Koresh- the cult leader. Today is also the book birthday of Breaking the World by Jerry Gordon. An apocalyptic thriller about three teenagers dragged to the Davidian cult by their parents. I LOVE learning about cults. Have you watched Wild, Wild Country on Netflix about the Rajneeshpuram? 📺 For fiction reading, I recommend Little Heaven by Nick Cutter and Gather the Daughters by Jennie Melamed. The #NightWorms will be starting Breaking the World next month! Thank you @apexbookcompany for the advanced copies 🔥🔥🔥 #breakingtheworld #jerrygordon #cult #cultlife #wacotexas #davidkoresh #littleheaven #nickcutter #gatherthedaughters #cultbooks
