And then there was one…

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

When I wrote the first draft of Severed Dreams, I decided to save the final chapter. The main plot was resolved and I thought it would be fun to tackle the epilogue at the end of the second draft.

That time has finally come.

I’ll be spending the next two weeks hashing out and refining the last chapter. Beyond that, a month of cleaning up small continuity issues and niggling details. The end is nigh!

kurt vonnegut

I had the distinct honor of meeting Kurt Vonnegut on several occasions over the years. Although he made the East Coast his primary residence, he came back to his hometown often and was generous with his time. He spoke at both large scale events and more intimate, writerly gatherings. If you were lucky, you could run into him downtown on the night before a speaking engagement. He loved walking the streets of Indianapolis, revisiting his family’s architectural legacy.

He will be sorely missed. So it goes.

Easter Eggs

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

While most certainly not for kids, Hank and Mike is a wonderful Easter egg for disgruntled adults everywhere. Click on the movie poster to get a look at the trailer that has to be seen to be believed. Thanks to the guys at Solace in Cinema for pointing this one out to me. Happy Easter!
